Hi Jerome
With any job in the British Army there will always be scope to move around every few years.
Different ranks hold different responsibilities which will require further qualifications.
Depending on your chosen job role, every few years you will get something called a ‘PPP’ personal posting preference where you can suggest a posting or location you would like next.
I hope this answers your question

Hi Jerome,
The British Army really promotes pushing yourself to be the best that you can be. Within every trade and job role, there are opportunities to develop and learn more. I am in the Royal Military Police; and although we all do the same job to begin with, you can branch out to numerous different areas of policing. We have our own crime scene examiners, detectives, forensics officers, computer crime specialist, bodyguards and so much more.
Finally, if you find the area of work you are in is not to you liking, there is the possibility of changing trade. This will all depend on availability of jobs within the role you want to do.
Hope this helps.

Kent,
The combat infantrymans course is very challenging but achievable if you put in the effort preparing.
There is a lot to learn and the fitness will challenge the fittest of soldiers but it will be gradual.

Thank you for your question.
Depending on the unit you join. For example, you could be a mechanic and move about every few years or you could join the infantry and deploy on overseas exercises every year and operations every 2 - 3 years.
There are a lot of different job roles that are currently stationed abroad
