Hi there, In order to be part of the Specialised Infantry Group you would need to join an Infantry unit within it. Currently it consists of; 1 SCOTS, 2 PWRR, 2 LANCS, 3 RGR and 4 RIFLES. The first step would be to complete the online application and then speak with a local careers advisor. They will arrange for you to do the entrance tests and help work out which role is best for you. If it’s the infantry then you’ll head off to complete the Combat Infantry Course (28 weeks) at The Infantry Training Centre Catterick (ITC(C)). Here, you do your basic training and your Infantry training (Phase 1 & 2). At the end of that you’ll head off to your unit. I hope this helps but if not feel free to come back to me with any questions. Katie
