Hi,
The British Army will take your height and weight at the first meeting, this meeting is called the Army Brief (AB). Your height and weight will be noted in your application profile and recruiters will work out your Body Mass Index (BMI). If your BMI is over the recommendation then you will be advised on different exercises you can do and park runs in your local area.
Remember joining park runs will improve your fitness and help get you ready to pass the run at Assessment Centre (AC).
Your BMI will also be checked at the AC so please try to keep this within the recommended range.
Starting fitness is always difficult but the sooner you start the longer you have to build up your fitness.
