Officer Commanding British Army Band Sandhurst
Hi there,
Thanks so much for your question. Yes, British Army musicians have a secondary operational role which is support to deployed Army medicine. All personnel will receive basic medical training during Phase 1, and then musicians selected on rotation to be at readiness to support Field Hospitals will receive extra specific training when required, but this doesn't take place during Phase 2.
