What can i expect on my initial drill night before actually joining as a reserve. What will be expected of me? How formal is it? Will i take part in anyway?

Before you join the reserves you can attend nurture evenings, in 3 R WELSH we do these once a month. You will do a range of activities which are normally aligned to attending Army Selection Centre (ASC) or interest where you will be shown and handle military weapons and equipment.
These are informal evenings which will give you the knowledge and skills to be able to attend ASC.
Hope this answers your question.
