Hi Mikelle,
It's fantastic to hear that you're interested in the Parachute Regiment! The short answer is yes, women can join the Parachute Regiment. All roles within the Army have been open to women for several years now. The entry standards, application process, fitness requirements, and other elements are exactly the same for everyone.
Captain R Wild
Passed the Pegasus Company (P Company) course in 2020, which includes a 20-mile endurance march and an aerial assault course. She served in 7th Parachute Regiment Royal Horse Artillery.
Lieutenant H Knapton
Passed the Pegasus Company (P Company) course and was awarded her maroon beret. She is now qualified to lead members of the Parachute Regiment into battle.
Private A Carter
Passed the Pegasus Company (P Company) course in 2022 and went on to complete the basic parachute course at RAF Brize Norton. She is a combat medical technician who would deploy as a medic alongside soldiers from the Parachute Regiment.
