Is it hard to transfer between corps if the roles are in the same stream? I.e Signals Corps to Intelligence Corps?

Hi, thank you for your question. It is common for Soldiers to move around Corps/trade groups if they indeed want to. The process starts with telling your Chain of Command (CoC) in which they will advise every step of the way. You will also be able to see your progress via an online portal in which you can track your application for transfer as it goes through the administration process. You can of course transfer to any job within the Military, providing you have the necessary entry skills/qualifications - and current knowledge, skills and experiences (KSE) will also be taken into account due to already being a trained soldier - with a trade (if you have one). Worth noting that you can even transfer from the Army to RAF or Navy if they have a job you like the sound of and may be a good fit for. This is all of course subject to spaces available and the 'need' for people to be in your desired role. Not saying you won't get it full stop, just you may have to wait a while longer for that job to become available. Ultimately, the MoD want people in jobs they are happy and content in, and feel like they're in the right place. If you're content with your role, you will be more passionate and pro-active in your day-to-day duties and the military will of course find it easier to retain you and allow you to progress in your career, whatever Corps you're in.
Hope that helps and feel free to ask any more questions.
