If you're going for a late entry (LE) officer from a CMT you will become a medical support officer, if you're already a trained CMT and want to commission through the direct entry (DE) route then you will go to Sandhurst for the 44 weeks of officer training. Changing from medical to infantry may require extra training such as the trade training element but you would have to commission first.

For more information it would be better to ask someone from the officer recruitment team.
