Hi Seren,

Veterinary Officers theoretically could be involved in combat, and they will do the Short Commissioning course at RMAS which includes various elements of the full commissioning course, including weapons handling.

You can volunteer for deployed veterinary officer roles, although you will be deployed in your primary role as a vet, rather than to be involved in combat.
