I am currently looking into the army but I’m unsure if I want to try join the parachute regiment or the intelligence corps. I would like to perform intelligence gathering activities and surveillance whilst travelling the world what would be my best option.

With high physical demands, you will undergo rigorous physical training, including the challenging P Company selection course Involving parachuting from a plane. Military Intelligence then are in the Intelligence ‘Strategic Role’ focusing on gathering and interpreting intelligence to inform military operations and strategic decisions. There would be less physical demands (while physical fitness is important, the role is less physically demanding compared to the Parachute Regiment) and a lot more mental through analytical and technical Skills. There is a strong emphasis on analytical thinking, problem-solving, and information gathering. Often Involving the use of technology and various intelligence tools for data analysis. Therefore you should consider If you enjoy physical challenges, teamwork, and frontline action, the Parachute Regiment may be more suitable.
