Hello,
As far as I know (and I don't work in recruiting so would advise speaking to someone with a bit more knowledge!) you apply for a general scholarship, of which there are 100 available each year, so very competitive.
If you then go on to get a place at medical school and wish to apply for the medical bursary that would be a separate process, again, very competitive I'm afraid!
You will be able to clarify this during the application process (you can start it and then ask any questions you have to a recruiter, it doesn't tie you in to anything). Or if you would prefer you could try giving the AMS recruiting team a call, their number is on their website https://www.army.mod.uk/who-we-are/corps-regiments-and-units/army-medical-services/
