Hi Warren,
There is an app called army fit that you can download.
If you join your local armed forces careers office strava group, you can upload your running and you can get fitness support.
I would advise setting small goals, reaching those goals and then creating more small goals. As a baseline, get out and run a 2km run which is the entrance fitness test and record your time and see where your at
